Dearest Abigail Jane,

This past month has been pretty exciting for you. Along with celebrating your first Christmas and welcoming a New Year you also visited Canada. We had to get you a passport and everything for the occasion. Although we think it is pretty funny that a six month old needs a passport, we do what we need to to appease our government. We totally guessed on the color of your hair and eyes- time will tell if we got it right :)

Before we left for Canada we were able to celebrate Christmas with all of your Wadsworth cousins (well except for little Jonah- next year :) As tradition we acted out the navity while Grandpa read Luke 2. You were the chosen babe to play baby Jesus and you did an excellent job :)

You loved Canada! Everything about it is was new and exciting to you. You experienced a of "Firsts" while there.
-1) First time on a plane- you did remarkable well. As soon as the pressure seemed to be getting to much you would open your month as if to cry out and your open jaw would release the pressure and you would be fine.

2) First time to Canada

3) first time ice skating - actually you were pulled on a sleigh, but you loved it!

4) first time swimming- the longer you were in the water the more you got used to it. By the end you were splashing everywhere.
5) First Christmas

6) First time opening presents- no matter what the gift was, your favorite part was the wrapping paper.

7) first time meeting your Great Grandpa and Grandma Blaxall and Great Grandma Hunter
Your favorite part was spending all of that time with your Grandma and Grandpa Hunter. You loved playing with Grandpa and snuggling with Grandma. You also were adored by your Aunts and Uncles and your sweet cousins. Cousin Blaine especially loved playing with Baby Abby.

You also keep growing and developing. At our check up you measured in the 90% for height and 12% for weight- my tall slim babe ;) Pic-a-boo is still your all time favorite game and your socks and feet seem to be your favorite toys. You are defiantly getting around more these days. With your rolling and now scooting forward you can get anything you want- I"m soon discovering how small our little front room is. You also continue to love to squeals to the highest pitches. Often times I hear you after a good nap just talking to yourself, seeing how high your voice can go. Occasionally you do this even in the middle of the night while Mommy and Daddy are trying to sleep but all we can do is smile while listening to you over the monitor. I don't think it'll be long until you are saying your first words.

It boggles my mind that you have been with us for six month now. I can't believe how fast time goes and how big you are getting. But at the same time, it seem like you have always been a part of our little family- just waiting for the right moment to come in. My life has been enriched with more fulfillment and purpose with you in it. I love you more than imaginable, yet that love continuous to increase daily. You are our little miracle, our little piece of heaven, and our joy.

Christmas as a Canuck

We had the best time ever in Canada for Christmas. All of Brad's family were able to be there and it was wonderful. Plus it wasn't even that cold, well for Canada, so that made me super happy :)

So what do you do in the great up north during Christmas vacation?

Well you first have to dress like a Canadian

You go and see the live Nativity
(with really sheep, donkeys, and llamas for camels!)

Enjoy family around the Christmas tree
(Notice the presents taking over the family room)

You make Christmas goodies together
(delicious!)

You go Five Pin Bowling
(you think it would be easier..... it's not. Notice the small balls used)

Go swimming
(in an huge indoor swimming pool, Canadian know how to enjoy the water all year around.)

Go to the movies
(Alvin and the Chipmunks was first and then Mission Impossible came next)

Enjoy Timbits
(Canada's delicious different flavor donuts holes)

Go Curling
(ya, that awesome Olympic sport that you have never played or anyone else for that matter. It was actually a lot of fun)

Watch the fireworks New Year Eve
(yep, we left the sleeping babes with Grandma. Thanks Grandma!)

Go ice skating
(My favorite Canadian activity)

Go to the World Junior Hockey Championship
(Brad's favorite Canadian activity)

And spend lots of time with family

Dear Abby,

I can't believe you are already five months old. It seems you have graduated from my sweet little newborn baby to my mobile active baby girl. When I think that a year ago we found out we were having you I am so grateful that you chose to come to our family at this time.

You are one mobile baby! Early this month you learned how to roll over to your tummy. Now that tummy time is when you choose, you are enjoying it more and more. It didn't take you long after learning to roll one way to learn the other way. You are one fast learner when you know what you want. Now you are more mobile than our little apartment can handle. Rolling and scooting everywhere, I leave you for a minute and you roll to find the piano, the couch, or anything in your path. Your most recent discovery has been the Christmas tree in our front room. The branches are the perfect height for you to reach up and grab. You love ringing the bells from the branches and pulling on any other ornaments you can. I can tell that you already love the holiday season and recently you added your squeals to the Christmas music playing in our home.

Not only have you become more mobile but your cute personality is shining forth as well. You have recently figured out peekaboo and it is now your favorite game to play. Whether I cover my face or you cover yours with a blanket each new appearance brings big grins and little giggles from both of us. Daddy claims you are ticklish too. In the past the zurbers Daddy would give you would only produce blank confused stares, now those zurbers produces some of your biggest giggles, your dad can't help but laugh along with you.

I think I can finally say we are on a rough schedule.
- 7:30-8:00: Waking up smiling and talking gibberish.
- 3 naps: You still take naps in your swing. I tried to have you cry in the bed once but didn't have the will power... so we are back to your swing. You love it, I love it; so why did I ever think about getting rid of it?
- Feeding between 3 or 3 1/2 hours. Feeding time is now averages 20-30 minutes. I'm grateful it is no longer an hour but I do miss nursing you hours in the day- just you, me, and my current book (I think I've read 12 books while nursing you so far).
- Bedtime between 7:30-8:00. Your routine contains a warm bath, story time with Daddy, and then making sure you have a full tummy before you go to bed.
- You usually only wake up once at night. As crazy as it is, I love this time with you. Just you and me in the dead of night, only with the light of the Christmas tree glowing in the dark. Those are moments I will cherish forever.

I believe this month has been your biggest one so far. With all your developments you also celebrated your first Thanksgiving and said good-bye to Uncle Bryant for two years while he serves a mission in Anaheim, CA. We promised Bryant you'd have hair when he returns, so start growing anytime now.

We can't wait to see what next month will bring!

Dear Abby,

This month has been quite exciting for you. We have now entered into the Holiday season (one of mommy's favorite times of year). You have witnessed your first autumn and seen your first snow fall. This month you also experienced your very first Halloween. When I was a little girl Grandma Wadsworth would always sew everyone costumes that fit a certain theme in the family. With the help of Grandma, we are carrying on the same tradition!! This year we were Peter Pan, Wendy and you were the most adorable Tinker Bell ever!!!! Although we skipped trick or treating we made our way around to show off our cute little Tinker Bell.

The big milestone this month is rolling over. Within minutes of putting you on the ground you roll over to your tummy. Although you are enjoying tummy time more it is not long until you let me know you don't want to be there any more. I roll you back on your side only for your to roll back on your belly and it becomes a little game we play. You love to find new sounds your little voice can make. You coo and ooo all day. One night when you thought it was time to play and mommy said it was time to sleep, I put you in your crib and I went to bed only to listen to you talk for 45 minutes before you finally fell asleep. Your little personality is shining forth with your little smiles and laughter. My favorite is when you get so excited to see me in the morning when I come and get you in your crib. Your little nose wrinkles up as you give your big open month grin. No matter what sort of night you gave me that big grin makes everything worth it.

You don't hate your car seat as much, but it is still not your favorite place to be. We are working on that in preparation to traveling to Canada for Christmas. We also got you your very own passport for the occasion. Yep, you might be one of the youngest passport holders in the state of Utah but you got it. Since your physical appearance (hair color, eye color, height) is still a mystery to Mommy and Daddy, we had to guess on the paperwork. We'll see if we are right :)

This month you also met new friends. Four baby boys to be exact- James, Peter, Cole, and Kyson. All of whom we would be happy with for a son-in-law :) Aunt Krista came down as well and loved to play with you and rock you to sleep.

Every month is a new adventure. I love watching you grow and discover new things. Can't wait to see what the next month will bring!

Dear Abigail,

I can't believe how big you are getting. Everyday you seem to be growing; you are barely fitting into the clothes now and will graduate to the next size soon. This growth has forced us to move you from the cradle in our room to the big crib in your room. Although it is nice that the crib is fulfilling its purpose now and not just gaining dusty, we miss you terrible in our room. I practically sleep with the baby monitor at night, even though, as Brad reminds me, you are just down the hall. Although hard, the move has been a great blessing to everyone- including you. Sometimes you sleep up to eight hours in that dark undisturbed room- that makes Mommy and Daddy extremely happy.

This month you have begun talking so much. While lying on the blanket you coo and guggle all you want while sucking on your little hands. When you discover that you can make a new sound and make that sound over and over again. My favorite are the high pitch squeals.

My favorite thing this month has been watching you discover the world around you all on your own. The other day While I layed you on the blanket and surrounded you with soft toys and raddles; however, it was the hard box that holds all your toys that you found the most fasinating. The hard smooth surface was quite fasinating for you and I realized I don't think you had ever felt that before. You have also discovered what happens when you kick in the bath tube. Now Mommy has to roll up her sleeves in order to bathe you because you splash to your hearts content.

Daddy's favorite this month was getting you to laugh. He takes great pride in the fact that he got you to laugh first. He plays with your little hands and feet until a little giggle escapes your big grins- we love hearing those giggles. Daddy also loves to read you stories and reads to you every night. At first you were not interested at all, but recently you focus more and more on the colorful pictures and they hold your attention longer.

You had your very first babysitter this month. Mommy and Daddy went to the temple with Uncle Bryant when we received his endowment and you stayed with a dear family friend- Heidi Cox. She was the only person Mommy would trust for your babysitter. Although I was super nervous, Heidi took such good care of you and said that you were a perfect baby and barely cried at all. I was so proud of you :)

Overall, it has been an exciting month for you. To celebrate your three months birthday we took you on your very first picnic. It was a beautiful warm fall day and since winter is just around the corner we are trying to take you out as much as possible. You love being outdoors.

Dear Abigail,

I can't believe that you are already two months old!!!

This past month has been really exciting for you. Probably the most exciting thing was meeting more family that love and adore you so much. All of Daddy's family came down for your blessing- which means you finally got to meet Grandpa Hunter and your adorable Hunter cousins- Anna, Katie, and Blaine. They were all so excited to meet you. Anna and Katie especially loved to hold you and bring you toys to play with. Even little Blaine, who is usually very rambunctious, would be so gentle and only pat your head while speaking softly to you.

You also got to meet your extended Ricks College family. There were so many people there that adored you, I hardly held you at all!! Up in those beautiful mountains was also where you caught your first cold- I"m so sorry!! Seeing you with that stuffy running nose almost makes me want to never take you out of the house again! But your Daddy tells me even this cold is strengthening you from the outside world-so I guess its okay.

We visited the doctor this week and he was so impressed by you. He used the words "perfect baby" and "very intelligent" during our visit. I couldn't be prouder. He even said you are acting more like a four month old than a two month old! A part of me was a little sad because the thought of you growing up does that to me; but then I remember how much fun it is see your eyes light up when I come over, your attention when Daddy reads you a story, listening to your cooing when you are playing by yourself, and (my all time favorite) your great big grin when we talk to you. Yep you are my intelligent perfect baby :)

You have also recently discovered your two favorite things- your new swing (thanks KSL) and your two little hands. Whenever I can't seem to sooth you I immediately put you in your swing and instantly you stop and eventually fall asleep and sleep for hours!! We both love your swing :) Your little hands have become your favorite toys. You occasionally focus on them, but mostly you simply discover them from your month. Your long tongue investigates from the fist to the finger tips- it is adorable. It is a good thing Mommy finally got up the courage to cut your fingernails :)

A Name and a Blessing

August 28, 2011 was a very special day for our family. Our baby girl was encircled by 14 worthy Melchizedek priesthood holders who love her. In my parents home her father, Bradley Joseph Hunter gave her a name and blessing. Abigail Jane is already a remarkable daughter of God.

Dearest Abby,

When your Dad and I got engaged we would often times sit for hours just dreaming of our future family together. In doing so, we discussed potential names of our children. Although we came up with about a dozen names, Abigail Jane was the one that stood out to both of us- we both knew then that we would have an Abigail Jane in our family.

After we were sealed in the temple your father and I were both eager to start our family; however, that was not the Lord's will at that time. We had three years experiencing heartache of longing for children in our home. But within those years your father and I learned to rely on the Lord more than every before in our lives. We obtained greater faith in the Lord's plan for us. We grew closer together and made memories to last forever. Those years are precious to us and looking back now we wouldn't trade them for anything. It was during those years I would reflect on that day sitting with Brad discussing children names. I would remember that feeling about a daughter named Abigail and it was almost as if you were telling me, "Mom, I will come down when it is the right time. Patience. Hang in there." There was no question in our minds when the doctors told us we were having a girl. The time was finally right for Abigail Jane to join our family.

Your name has a great heritage and legacy as well. Abigail is a biblical name. She was a women of integrity and virtue. She saved an entire city of people from destruction because of her great courage. 1 Samuel 25:3 says this about her....

"Abigail: she was a women of good understanding and of a beautiful countenance."

"Good understanding and a beautiful countenance"- yes, your name fits you perfectly Abby.

Your middle name, Jane, has a family legacy. Grandma Hunter's middle name is Jane. She loves you so much and would spend every minutes of the day holding you if she could. Also you have a Great-Grandma Jane, she also loves you so much. Both of these women are examples of great faith in the Lord and love and devotion to family. We know that you will make them proud and honor their name.

My Baby is One Month Old!!!

Dearest Abigail Jane

Today you will turn one month old!! I can't believe how fast time seems to go by now that I finally have you in my arms. It is amazing to me how much love I have for you. The moment I laid eyes on you in the delivery room I was overcome with the strongest divinely love. Instantly I felt the emotion rushed through me. Gratitude that the Lord would trust me with one of his precious daughter, nervous on how I would be a mommy, and excited to have you in our family forever. The daughter that we have been praying and fasting for. The precious moment of watching your kicks, your big bright eyes, rocking you to sleep, and yes, even those sleepless nights bring Mommy the greatest fulfillment. You give me and your Daddy the greatest joy possible. We love you!

Your first month of life has been quite eventful. After we were released from the hospital Grandma Wadsworth came and stayed with us. She was incredibly helpful as I learned how to be a mommy and you adapted to your new life here on earth.

When Grandma Wadsworth had to leave, Grandma Hunter came down all the way from Canada to be with us. She was so excited to meet you.

She was also here when we took you on your first walk.

You also met a lot of your cousins this month.

Meeting Kira and Lu- actually Kira is your first cousin once removed, but we'll just say cousin :)

You had a rough time at first getting used to your body. Your Jandice counts went up so high so fast the doctors had us spend your 1 week birthday in the hospital just so you could get better. It was really hard on all of us to watch you go through that, but we are grateful for modern medicine. Afterward, we visited the doctor for your two week check up and you did great!!! You were in the 95th percentile in height (you grew 1 1/2 inches in two weeks!) and 17th percentile in weight (so we need to fatten you up a bit ;)

We love you so very much Abby Jane. Thanks so much for being apart of our family.

It is with great pleasure that we welcome to our little family Ms. Abigail Jane Hunter. We are so excited to have her in our family. She is very cute (as you can see by the pictures) and is so fun to have around the house. We love her a lot! But now you can see some pictures, because those are the most fun.

For those of you who have ever been expecting your first child, you realize somewhere along the way that your life is going to change. They say it is for the better, and we really believe that; but, that doesn't mean that we can't have a LOT of fun in the meantime!

Here is what we've been doing.....

In February, unexpectedly, Brad was asked to attend his company's annual convention. Conveniently, that just happened to be held on a cruise ship in the Bahamas. A portion of my family were able to come along too!

We hiked Dunn's Falls in Jamaica

Visited a Pirate Museum in the Bahamas

and enjoyed the beautiful beaches of Haiti

Don't worry- Brad did work (a little bit)....

We had so much fun on that cruise ship we decieded to go on another one! This time it was with my entire family and we had the time of our lives!

Moving 17 people across the country is an adventure in and of itself.

But we finally made it!!!

Please notice in these two pictures how we have shirts with Angie's Dad on them with an eyepatch. We call them the 'Johnny Roger.'

17 people also means everyday on the was an adventure too.

Seeing how much we could all eat. (I think my brothers might of won that one :)

We are going to have …

It is true! For all you (about 90% of you) who guessed girl- you were right!!! We couldn’t be more excited. We immediately went shopping and brought home some pink! (I think there will be a lot of that to come)

Pregnancy pictures to come, but know that we are healthy and strong. July seems so far away yet there is a list of things I hope to get done before our little girl arrives. Brad and I feel so blessed. Because of the trails we have faced in this matter I believe we more fully understand the miracle this really is and have great peace in understanding the Lord’s timing in the fulfillment of our dreams.

We are having a

BABY!!!

The Lord is merciful and He knows what is best for us and our family. After going through hard ache and trails the Lord has taught us patience and what a miracle each little child of God really is.

We are due July 19^th. And find out what the baby is soon so take time to vote!!!

MEXICAN RIVIERA CRUISE

Yep, it is true- what a better way to celebrate two years of happiness than a cruise!! When we got married Brad couldn't leave the country (green card issues) and we were a little poor :) so we just had a little honeymoon in Park City. So I guess you could call this our "Second Honeymoon". I don't really care what you call it but know that we absolutely positively loved it!!!! And we are already planning our next cruise :)

We made great friends at dinner. All three couples were young (two had just been married that weekend!) Dinner was always something to look forward to! Through sharing stories, dancing, and laughing endlessly together we made great friends.

Spring 2010

Wow! I can't believe how fast this year has gone by!!! I truly had a goal of blogging more, but alas it is almost July. So for a special treat I'm going to blog about the last couple of months right here!!! (I know you are so excited :) Don't worry, I'm not much of a writer so it'll mostly be pictures, and if you want to skip the text all together I don't mind (most of it is just me babbling on.)

Zions National Park:
Weekend Warrior Trip #1 was Zions. We drove down to Ceder City on Friday with good friends (Amanda and Jeffery Booth and Malia). Early Saturday we woke up to drive to Zions. There we hiked Angel's Landing and a couple others until it was time to drive back to Orem.

We absolutely love this couple!!! (It might have to do with they were the ones who introduced Brad and me :) We love you Jeff and Amanda!!!

Among other hikes, we hiked Angel's Landing. This hike is extremely narrow. There is even a part were you only have about three feet between two straight drop offs. The phrase "Hold to the Rod" was changed to "Hold to the chain, for your dear life!" But we made it!!!

Brad scared me half to death when he climbed up this rock at the very edge of the cliff. But he was so proud of it I had to post it. Look at my Superman!!

Our Garden:
We have such kind neighbors who let us use some of their land in their orchard to plant a small garden. Well, Brad and I got really excited and planted anything we could think of. Neither of us have gardened much so we hope some survive the summer!

Trip to Oakland!!
Weekend Warrior Trip #2- Drive to Oakland on Thursday. We stayed with Brad's sister's, Sarah, and her family while they finished packing. Friday we helped them move a bit, then attended a beautiful temple sealing of a family I taught. We spent most of the day with the beautiful family. Slept at Sarah's new home. Drove home on Sunday. Wow! I get exhausted just thinking about it.

It was so great to be with Sarah and Christian and their family, even though I felt bad we chose the worst weekend to visit. Who visits family right in the middle of their move!!! I didn't complain because my job was to play with the girls while they were moving things out of one house and into their new home.

In their backyard we found a frog that Katie loved!!! While Anna only looked at a distance, Katie insisted on holding the little guy.

But the most important reason we made this trip was to witness Tim and Erica Moore and their three children- Argenis, Lizbeth, and Mary, sealed in the Oakland Temple. As a missionary you dream of an event like this. And many don't get to see it in person, but I have been so blessed to have!!! I met Tim and Erica at the Visitor Center over three years ago. Tim took Erica there because she told him she only wanted to be married if it was going to last forever. Well, Tim, having been raised by members, knew of only one place that was possible. Since that day, I have been praying for this family to make it to the temple. I feel the joy of Alma when he said about his converts "[I] have been an instrument in his hand in doing this great and marvelous work... I cannot say the smallest part which I feel." I love the Moore family!

Tiera's Wedding
Tiera Cox and I have been best friends ever since I moved up to Orem in 7th grade. She truly is my bosom friend and anyone that knows us will not disagree. Well, on July 18th, she married her man. Nicolas Torres is one lucky guy to have such an amazing girl. But I still don't know how I feel about him, because he is taking my best friend to England and then Ohio to live. Bitter Sweet!

Elder Wadsworth(s)
The beginning of this month was pretty exciting as I had one brother return and one brother leave. Out of these five Wadsworth boys can you guess who is the RM the Premee, and three teenagers?

Elder Jared Hinckley Wadsworth (right) returned from serving an honorable mission in Tacoma Washington on the 8th of June. It is so amazing to see how he has grown to great to have him home. Elder Michael John Wadsworth left for his mission ten days after that to serve in Leeds, England. It has been incredible to witness how the Lord has prepared Michael for his mission. I know he'll be an excellent missionary serving in England!

Because we had such a short time with everyone together. My parents basically planned a full Family Fun Week for everyone before Michael left. Among going up to Park City, Brothers vs. Brother-in-law basketball, we also had an amazing small concert with Jon Schmit!

That is all. I'm impressed if you made it this far, you deserve a prize :) This next month we are going to Canada, so hopefully you'll see picture of that soon.

A New Addition!

We have so much that we need to catch up on...
So, we have to share the most exciting things first....
Thus, we will tell you about the latest new addition to our family....

A Piano!!!

It is wonderful, beautiful, and brings great joy and happiness to our hearts and our lives. It has been so wonderful to hear the sound of a piano in our home, and Angie and I have both really enjoyed playing it. It is a Yamaha, and we got a great deal on it, and now it adorns the walls of our home. The only downside to a piano is going to be moving it; but, we got it in (thanks to the help of some amazing co-workers and brother-in-laws - special thanks to Adam!).

That is correct! This little beauty shown above is now my hand-held communication device. In other words, this is my walkie and talkie. Oh yeah!

This extremely fortunate turn of events going from my basic slider phone to this phone of power and glory came about because my coworker got a brand new phone, and was kind enough to sell me his old phone at a very good price. Basically, I am super excited about it, and I could not be happier!

Those of you who have smart phones now know the problem that I have.... I can never go back!

Let's say last Sunday I knew it would either be a day we would commemorate for years or a day of great sorrow. I'm grateful it was the former.
For all of you who couldn't hear the jubilant cheers from my husband after the game, well... you probably here better. But that hockey gold meant the world to him, and his fellow Canadians. Even though he has been in the States for a couple of years now, over the Olympics he cheered on his home land. And in the homeland Hockey is everything!

Welcome Olympics! This really is the best time of the year. The world's best competing for glory and gold in Canada! It just makes me so excited! As we were watching the opening ceremonies last night one of the commentators captured how I feel about the Olympics being in Canada.

"Canadians are very friendly and welcoming, but they are more aggressive this year in their pursuit of Olympic Gold.

Hi, and welcome to Canada!
We're very glad you're here, and hope you enjoy your stay.
Now we're going to kick your butts."

Christmas In Canada!!! and More!

Christmas 2009 was amazing!! We had quite a few events leading up to our traveling to Canada. I finally graduated with my BA in History Teaching from BYU, we moved to Orem, Brad started his new job (which he loves), Brad took the GMAT, and we discovered we had bad tires through doing a 180 on the freeway (don't worry, we are fine and the car was fixable- thank goodness!)

This is the only picture I could find of our little Christmas tree in our new apartment. My nephew Issac was super excited about the train, as you can see.

Before we left for Canada we had to make ginger bread houses for the holidays. We had our good friends, Jeff and Amanda Booth join us.

Despite a pervious car crash, we made it up to Canada!!! And to my families dismay, the Hunters are turning me Canadian!

With the family together, we of course had to go play basketball. Thanks to Josh's high school attire he left behind, we were all dressed for the occasion.

This is a friendly reminder to me that I married into a "Mac" family :)

Brad has been talking about the Christmas Pageant since before we were married. Finally I was able to experince it myself- and the cold with it!! It was around - 6 F, or 21 C. My first time experiencing not only my nose hairs, but my eyelashes freezing all at once.

The pageant itself was beautiful. It was put on by the youth of the church around Calgary, I was impressed to think that these youth would be out in the cold all night, while I was out for only 30 minutes.

Because Anna ( the cute little girl in the picture) is taking ballet. Grandma took all the girls out to the Nutcracker.

Anna was so cute when she saw real ballerinas and insisted we take a picture with them.

Christmas morning was so magical, especially with Sarah's three little kids.

Anna and Katie were exstatic when they saw their doll house Santa left. Katie just jumped up and down and couldn't even say anything for excitement. I have to say, it is a really impressive doll house and I would have loved to have when I was little.

The day after Christmas (Boxing Day) the family went ice skating. I was shocked when I asked where we rent skates, laughing Brad's Dad brought out about 24 different pairs of skates they have collected through raising their kids in Calgary. You buy skates like you buy sneakers there.

We skated on a local lake right by thier house and I can not write how fun it was. To a girl who has only skated on a indoor crowded little rink- this experience was awesome!! And two hours passed without me noticing.

After Katie had enough of her bob skates, I pulled her on the sled.

Overall, it was a fabulous Christmas and we were sad to leave but look forward to the next time in Canada!

In order to find a camera....

There are two sure-fire ways to find your lost camera. The first is to buy a new one, because as soon as you have spent that much money on a camera, you are bound to find the old, not-really-that-great-in-comparison-with-the-new-one camera. Being that we didn't want to spend the money on a new camera, we had to go with surefire way number 2.

Move!

Yes, we are moving! It will be sad to say goodbye to the Hobbit House, but oh so wonderful to

move on. We call it the hobbit house for a couple of reasons, mostly because I can't stand up straight in the hallways, and we have a door that has a handle only high enough for a hobbit.

To give you a greater appreciation of the drastic nature of our move, we have included a few

pictures for your viewing pleasure. They are old then new, not-so-good and better, loser and winner.

So we will be going from This.... To this! (No carpet in the bathroom - very nice)

Then of course we travel to the kitchen. We

currently have green carpet, orange countertops, and a pull-down oven. Behold!

There is so much space in this kitchen, I don't really know what to do with it all! Perhaps we will start on a kitchen table and chairs. :)

I didn't take a picture of our new living room (because it is full of all of our stuff that we are moving in right now) but I wanted to show you our current one.

There are two more reasons that have inspired the move. One of them is named Washer, and the other is named dryer. I wonder, do any boys call their muscles Washer and Dryer? You know, like Thunder and Lightning - don't get caught in the storm? Perhaps you could say Washer and Dryer - I'll spin you until you're dry! I don't know, I think it needs some work...

But, here is our current beauty...

Now I will no longer have to wheel this baby over to the sink, because we have these!!! Behold them in all their majesty!

Now, I want to show you the piece de resistance (say it with a French accent, will you please?) This one thing alone could make Angie move. You see the paintbrush on the counter? You do? Good, because that's not it at all. It is.... A DISHWASHER!!!

Well, now my excitement is peaked. I think I'll go start packing right now!

This may be due to the fact that Angie is doing her student teaching, and I am working full time and I am now taking a GMAT prep class. However, the greater reason is that we have lost our camera! We don't know where it is, and thus we cannot post the pictures. Once we have our camera we will post again.

A few weeks ago we were able to go and visit the motherland! O Canada!!!!

It was so great to go back home, especially since Krista and I both have our green cards. I can't tell you how much I love home, and how much I love Waterton! It is really the greatest place on earth! Note: Pure awesomeness is to follow.

We saw tons of wildlife in the park. This is a grizzly bear, and yes, we were that close! We saw 5 of them while we were in Waterton.

You always have to have a weenie roast, and we had one despite the rain! So delicious!

The parade turned out to be pretty lame, but it was so fun to be with the family, espeically to watch the kids' faces as the floats passed.

Family Fun Week!!
Every year my family has what we call "Family Fun Week." Throughout the years the "week" slowly gets cut, until this year it was a great weekend. We all went up to some condos in Park City and spent some family fun time together.
Despite the weather, we went up the mountian and played frisbee golf.

We lucked out, when we were handed some tickets that included great seats at Stadium of Fire plus a dinner before the event. I was super excited because Brad did not grow up with these 4th of July festivities in Canada. What a better way to show him how we celebrate our independence than bringing him to the biggest celebration in Utah. At the dinner we felt like celebrates especailly when we got a close look at the special guest- Shedaisy, Glen Beck, and (the screaming teenage girls favorits) the Jonas Brothers. Here is a picture of Glen Beck, he spoke a little to us before the show as well.

Harry Potter #6!!

So everyone has thier thing that they just love- that they are fanatic about. Some may be Twlight, for Brad it is Transformers and Thundercats. Well, my passion is Harry Potter. In junior high, reading was a chore for me, I didn't enjoy it at all. Until my 7th grade English teacher suggested that I read Harry Potter. Since then I have loved these books and my love for reading has only grown since. In addition to that, the last two books of Harry Potter were the first books that Brad and I have read togehter and it has started a wonderful tradition of reading togehter as a couple. That passion and excitement brought me and Brad to sacrifice sleep to watch the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Here we are with our dear friends Stephen and Sarah Godfrey, who we had watched all five other Harry Potter movies prior to this historic night.

Manti Pageant!

Behold, The Mormon Miracle Pageant! I had never been so we got with some friends and traveled to Manti in a minivan (yes, a glorious minivan!) and got to Manti in time to have some fun, and make friends with the local mosquitoes. Seriously, I think that every mosquito in the county comes to enjoy the pageant - fresh blood! But of course, we didn't take pictures of them, we took pictures of us!

Now what trip would be complete without a good jumping picture? I say unto, none! So, we got ready.....

And jumped! One shot. That's all. Boo ya!

Whoa!!!!!! We jumped and landed in a perfectly organized human pyramid! Aren't you amazed?

But jumping into a human pyramid is never the most stable thing.... and we all fell down!

Here is our group that we went with in the minivan to Manti. Oh yes, we drove in a minivan, and it was the most glorious date! I had forgotten how awesome it was to have minivans. We played cards beforehand and made a table out of one of the quilts that we had brought. It was awesome! You will note that Crystal is holding in her hand a mint chocolate chip cookie - the most delicious cookie ever! Well, there were these adorable little girls sitting beside us, so we offered them some cookies. Well, they got one taste of it, and they were grabbing fistfuls of anything they could get their hands on! We had to take the bag away because they started fighting, but they were content with their cookies and crumbs.

Now, you are wondering to yourself, "Where are the pictures of the pageant? Where are the pictures of the Lamanite Lawn Dancers? (We met some before the show. I now know what I want to be when I grow up). Well, our camera does not have a nuclear powered flash, meaning that we couldn't take good pictures in the dark, and they asked us not to, so you are left with just a beautiful picture of the Manti temple. Behold it in all its majesty!

Bridal Veil Falls

This last weekend Angie and I went on our first bike ride of the season, and it felt so good to be out in nature, and enjoy the sunshine and beautiful weather. We were able to convince Angie's younger sister Sylvia and her friend Tessa to come with us on the bike ride. We had an absolute blast!

I am so lucky to get to go out with three cute girls!

We are so awesome! We conquered that trail! I really like Sylvia's pose in this picture.

I still think my wife is the cutest though...

The girls decided to cool off their feet in the cold water and enjoy the beautiful view. They sure were happy!

We had so much fun on our bike ride, Angie and I decided to go up again two days later! Our cabooses were still a little sore, but it was sure great to be out in nature!

Elder Joshy Woshy!

Yesterday was a historic day for our family! We took my youngest brother Joshy Woshy (Joshua) to the Missionary Training Center! We are so proud of him, and so excited for his mission. He will be teaching the Hmong speaking people in Minneapolis Minnesota about Jesus Christ, the Plan of Happiness, and the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Angie and I both had fond memories of our missions as we were dropping him off yesterday. We took a few pictures, and they were all so good, I had to include them all!

Disneyland!!!!

Disneyland Here we come!!!

To celebrate our un-graduations, we planned our first family vacation. And what better place to have a vacation than the happiest place on earth: Disneyland! On our drive down we had to stop by one of our favorite restaurants - In-n-Out.

In addition to In-n-Out, we also stopped by Las Vegas to visit my brother Michael. He is finishing up his senior year in high school before he goes off to play football at Hawaii University. We'll miss him a lot, but who wouldn't be excited about going to school in Hawaii?

To pass the time in the car, Brad and I have been reading the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. They are pretty exciting with demigods, monsters, and sword fighting. We finished the second book with five hours of driving ahead of us, so Brad swerved off the freeway as soon as we saw a Barnes and Noble to purchase the next book.

We also couldn't help but pick up the world atlas and remember our first date together at Barnes and Noble. Brad developed a game where we flip open an atlas and create a week vacation at whatever country we opened too. Someday we hope to have our Italy vacation that we planned on our first date :)

Finally, after a long drive we made it!!! We woke up at 5:30 the next morning, which suprisingly wasn't a problem because we were too excited to sleep. Both days were were at the park as soon as it opened and stayed until closing (midnight)- a total of 32 hours. It was a blast!!

This place really is magical! As soon as we entered the gates both Brad and I felt like we were eight years old again. It was awesome!!

Brad is truly my Prince Charming. The last night we were there he took me into the Castle and kissed me. Dinseyland is truly where dreams come ture.

Happy Birthday Angie!! Having a birthday at Disneyland is the best thing ever! You know when you get older and birthdays aren't the same anymore, they feel more like a normal day with a cake at the end. Well, at Disneyland you get to wear a little button to let everyone know it's your birthday, so you really do fell like the Princess of the day. Everyone says "Happy Birthday", Sea Turtles sing to you, you get pictures with princesses, you spend all day with your own Prince Charming, and much much more!!

At California Adventure both Brad and I took a test to find out what Disney character we were. Brad was Aladdin and I was Cinderella. That same day I was so excited when I saw the princess Cinderella. Even though she was surrounded by little girls I persisted, and with the help of my birthday button to get attention I got this picture.

Even though the park closed at midnight, Main street was open until 1:00. So, with the $69 gift card Disney gave me for my birthday we went shopping. Yes, after another 17 hour day of running around the park we still had energy to go shopping.

On our way home we stopped by the St. George Temple. It was so beautiful! And it brought back memories of when my family lived there many years ago.

It was such a fun trip! We cannot wait to go back. Any takers?

A Very Happy Un-Graduation

At the end of April, Angie and I both walked in the graduation ceremonies! We both received our diploma holders, but we will not be putting anything in them for several months. It was a great for both of us to walk together, and it was so wonderful to have so much support from our families. We truly felt loved and supported by so many! Thank you all for your support!

Because of this un-graduation, we decided to take a celebratory trip to Disneyland!! Pictures are soon to come!

Superhero Night!

The other night we had some of our great friends over, and had our Superhero Night! Some of our superheroes came dressed appropriately for the occasion, and then we moved into the nights activities...

We started out watching a clip from the very beginning of Incredibles, where they are being interviewed, and they talk about secret identities. After we did that, we watched the clip where Mr. Incredible goes to Edna to have her design his suit. "NO CAPES!" We all laughed, and then mission control sent us to our first assignment. Although Dave and Laura were dressed for the occasion, we had to design our own super suits, and outline our powers, and enhancements of the suit. Secret identities of the superheroes will not be revealed, but their suits and powers are outlined below.

The StuD. Ridiculous strength, good looks, and superior awesomeness.

Hologram. She can become any shape or form, and can disappear completely when she touches her earring.

Storm Chaser. He can control the weather, throw lightning, and create earthquakes.

Star. She can turn back time, and sleeps with the stars.

The Incredible Breaker Beauty. She is new to the superhero scene, and has trouble controlling her powers, which allows her to break anything. She also carries around a lot of hammers.

70's Man! Inspired by our apartment, 70's man has afro-power, has Thunder and Lightning boots, and has a lot of amazing 70's paraphanalia.

The Next thing that we did was make a comic strip! Frame by frame, we made a comic strip with all of us as characters in the comic! Each couple took a turn doing a frame while the others sat and watched 'The Incredibles' and enjoyed superhero treats and punch. Please enjoy the comic strip, pictured below!

We had a fantastic time with all of our superhero friends, and we are so glad that the Super Squad was able to break the ice, and defeat the evil Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer. What will the next adventure bring???

New Years at Escala!

For New Years, we were able to go up to Park City, and stay in Escala. We were so happy to be up there with the entire family, and we had the best time ever! It was beautiful and snowy, and we loved going out tobogganing with the family! The last day we found a ginormous hill that was so much fun, because you were able to get going so fast! We loved it! We were able to catch a couple of the boys coming down the hill at supersonic speeds!

As you can see, we literally stayed out there all night long, but it was so worth it! We are excited to go back soon!

Ice Skating with the Browns

One of the best things about being married is that we now get to make married friends! So, we went out ice skating with two of our new friends, Dave and Laura Brown! We had a blast with them, and took a few pictures while we were at it.

The Nativity

Christmas Does Come More Than Once a Year!

So, to all of you who remember, Sarah had a contest on her blog about guessing the gender of their baby (I know, this was a long time ago, but we're just catching up :) and Angie guessed right and won the prize! I think that I am luckier with this girl in my life. So, this was what arrived at our house...And here is what was inside!

We also got to go down to temple square a couple of times, and have some fun down there. And of course, the best times were when we got to go with friends, like Eric! Notice how Eric has an incredibly beautiful jacket on? I did.

So, I know that we have been royal slackers on updating the blog. I apologize for this, and we will be better. Promise! Stay tuned for many more blog posts to come!

The Lights at Temple Hill in Oakland

Okay, so it isn't temple square, but the lights are seriously awesome! It was totally different to see Christmas lights on palm trees! That was kind of strange - although I did get to see some of that on my mission. It was somewhat nostalgic for me - although we didn't get to speak to any Filipinos, it was fantastic to be at the temple when they lit the lights!

The girls loved being on the temple grounds, and of course, they love being in pictures! So they were in this picture with us - we kind of look like we're a family!

One of the best parts about being an uncle is that the girls want to read stories all the time! We would be awoken by the girls every morning, either to Anna saying, "We're going to go see Bolt today!" or other wonderful cries of joy. Then after just a little bit, we would read some stories. So fun! We loved being there with the girls, and we loved being there! We'll be back soon!

San Francisco for Thanksgiving!

Hooray for having family all together over the holidays! It was so fun for us, because for Angie's entire mission, she had seen the Golden Gate bridge, but she had never gone there. So, to make her dreams come true, we all loaded up in our vehicles and headed to San Francisco! A special thanks to Christian for knowing all the back roads so that we could avoid horrendous traffic on the Embarcadero!

We made it! Dreams really do come true!

Then, if you look down, you will see this sign. It is smaller, and a little out of the way. My favorite part is that the consequences are fatal and tragic. But what if you had a bungee cord? Ha! False information!

But why would you want to jump when you have such beautiful flowers at the end of November! Seriously, we lose flowers in Canada in like.... June! To Frost!

I think that my favorite part of the trip was being Uncle Brad. It's the best!

So, we headed down to Pier 39 for some amazing seafood (it was delicious!). Afterwards, Katie was playing around and decided to use the bread basket for a hat. It was adorable!

Anna decided to get in on the fun as well. She spent a good part of the night trying to figure out who was eating her food. After several accusations, she finally caught the culprit.... Daddy!

We had an amazing day out in San Francisco! We'll have to go back sometime soon with the Robertsons!

Return to Oakland

Happy Thanksgiving! Yes, it has been a while since Thanksgiving, but we are still very grateful, and very grateful for missions! And, because we were down visiting Sarah, Christian, Anna and Katie, we were able to go back and visit Angie's mission! It was amazing! We visited with President and Sister Beck, then we got to go to the Visitor's Center! It was so wonderful to be in Angie's mission again. As you can easily see, Angie loved it!

We paid a visit to the Visitors Center, and Angie got to do a training with all of the sisters. They loved it!
We also got to do some pretty cool stuff in Oakland, like read a copy of the Book of Mormon that Joseph Smith gave to Alan Coates. Yes, my hands have now touched something that Joseph Smith touched! How awesome! But don't worry, I'm still washing my hands regularly.

Another wonderful thing was visiting with the Pedersens! They are a fantastic couple, and we spent a good portion of the day with them. And talk about a small world too! Elder Pedersen is great friends with President Burton, my second mission president - we were instant friends after that. We just loved every moment we spent with them today.
We also met up with some of Angie's converts! Pictured here are Juan Carlos, and Tim and Erica. They are all fantastic! We loved visiting with them!
And to end off a perfect day, we went to visit the Velascos. We had so much fun visiting with them. Angie's favorite was eating authentic Latino food. She felt like she was back in the mission, only with a different companion! We absolutely loved visiting, and hope to be back soon!

Joshy Woshy

One of the best things about living down here at BYU this year is all the family this is down here with us! Krista and TJ, as well as Joshy Woshy are down here from my family, and almost all of Angie's family is close by. It makes life quite happy for us, because we love family! The other night, we decided to have Josh over to watch Kung Fu Panda, because we were so excited to watch it! So we made ourselves a big bowl of Popcorn, and enjoyed!

Then the next day, we had Josh and his roommate Josh, (Yes, they both have the same name, yes they both have the same middle name, and Yes, the both go by Joshy Woshy) over for breakfast. I was glad that we had a lot of pancake batter, because Josh (brother) ate 15 pancakes, and Josh (from Vegas) ate 9 - Whole Wheat pancake mind you! It is just fun to have them over, and we really love having Josh and Josh come to our home. We just have to go grocery shopping first! Come again soon!

Here We Go Again!

Ladies and Gents, it is time for the Charity Ball again! We just had our first big meeting this week, and we are extremely excited about this year. Last year, we were just students giving back (check out our logo in all its majesty), a group of friends that decided to give back to the community. Now, we are part of the Live United club on campus, it is amazing! This will be the 3rd annual Charity Ball, and we could not be more excited for it. For those of you who are not familiar with the Charity Ball, what we do is put on a black tie affair for students. There we have a live and silent auction (all items are donated by extremely generous donors) and a dance afterwards. It is really just a great excuse to get dressed to the nines, enjoy a nice evening, and raise some money for charity. The first year we raised just over $10,000, and the next year was over $21,000 with our corporate sponsors matching the funds the students raise. It is an amazing event!

Things are shaping up well, but it completely consumes my thoughts when I have a little extra time to think. I love this event! There is so much that we want to do so that we can make it even more fantastic this year. Right now we are on the hunt for corporate matching funds, as well as donations for our live and silent auctions. So, if any of you know of anything, this is my shameless plug to get you to donate. :) And we do this all in association with the United Way, and all proceeds go to local causes. We love giving back to our community! This picture here is our live auction last year. It was amazing!

So, that being said, I am just so excited for this event, and I am sure that you will be hearing more about it in the months to come, especially as it grows closer to the day. So, if you want to be involved, let me know. Otherwise, just plan on coming to the event if you can!

Weekend With Grandma!

This weekend we went up to visit Grandma! It was so much fun to go up there, and visit with her. We love Grandma! As soon as we got there, she put us right to work! There is no slacking at Grandma's house, that is for sure! We were working into the wee hours of the morning! Well, not really, we just worked the rest of the day. We got the yard and the outside of the house all ready for winter, and made a discovery. Did you know that you can clean super-hard-to-get-off-with-windex water spots with Lime remover? Well, you can, and we did! And the best part about it all, we even got to pick apples! (and eat some too!) It was so great to be out in the yard, and have fun working with Grandma.

The Z-Date!

We had another amazing date up at the Zarbock's, and it was so fun! We are so grateful for the Zarbocks, and their generosity. We had an incredible dinner, and then, as part of Fall Fest, we had pumpkin carving! It was excellent fun, and we had some super creative designs! Everything from disco pumpkins, to Kung-Fu Panda pumpkins!

Timpanogos Titans!

Two weeks ago, Angie and I decided that it was time that we fulfilled one of our summer goals, and we went and climbed Mount Timpanogos! It was the greatest adventure ever! We woke up at two in the morning, and started climbing the mountain at three. While we were going up, the only thing that we could see was the ground in front of us, because it was so dark, and when we were able to look down when the sun came up, we were amazed at how far we had gone! We got up to the saddle for the sunset, and then continued on to the summit. It was quite the romantic, and wonderful adventure!

The Happy Honeymooners!

Man, we make this plaid look good! Pink is for Pretty, and Blue is for B-rad!

This is Brad with Alice, who came to rescue us from the top of the mountain when it started raining. She came and picked us up in this sweet ride, and we came down with 15 people crammed in here on a super bumpy road. We felt bad for the people in the back, with no padding at all, but it was possibly a better ride than the alpine slide!

This is us after we came off the mountain. We were out walking a nature loop, and then decided that since we were ill prepared, and Angie was carrying her purse, that we would hike the mountain! So, we did. Then about a mile up the trail, it started pouring rain! Like, you know those big drops that hit the dirt, and the dirt explodes? These were those raindrops. So we ran down the mountain, but we were sliding everywhere after a bit on the mud, so we skied down the mountain, and finally made it back to the lodge. All the servers felt so bad for us, they made us hot chocolate, even though it wasn't on their menu. How sweet!

During the course of this week, Bradley has made the most fascinating discovery that brings pure and blissful joy to his heart. That is right, it involves facebook, for all you faithful users, but if you know this, I hope you are using it currently. There is a language in facebook where you can set your desired language preference to Pirate. It is the funniest thing ever, and Bradley just giggles every time that he uses it. It is great, and we hope you can all try it!

Now, on to more serious issues of wedding photos, great things of joy and happiness, and people in white! They're coming! Seriously now, they are, so check back soon! We love you, and we're excited for our little family blog!
